South Sea Lines Ltd. Is wholly owned Subsidiary of Lae Builders & Contractors Ltd. Group of Companies (LBC Group) based in Lae.

SSL currently owned and operate 3 Tug Boats and 3 Steel Flat Top dump barges.

2 x 23M, 1200 HP TUGS – Vessel Names: KWILA 1 & KWILA 2
1 x 27M, 990 HP TUG – Vessel Name: Mt Myalla

2 x 150FT/45.72M Steel Flat Top Dump Barges
1 x 180FT/54.86M Steel Flat Top Dump Barge

Current Operations:

We are currently operating both locally on the Coastal waters of PNG and Internationally between Lae & Singapore.

Our operations from Lae to Singapore take the Northern bound sea lane over PNG and trough the Java Sea to Singapore. The trip to Singapore takes 13 days to cover the approximately 3100 Nautical Miles with an empty barge and 23 days return trip fully loaded. We allow 5 days loading in Singapore.

Current Singapore trips are mainly to bring in Construction Materials for the LBC Group of companies.
